1. Due to its excellent compatibility and solvent solubility, polyketone resin has good transparency and can be used in various types of coating/ink formulations; 2. It can effectively improve the gloss, adhesion, hardness, fullness, and drying properties of coatings; 3. It has good pigment and filler wetting properties and can be used as a general-purpose pigment paste grinding resin. When used in coatings, it can increase the solid content of the coating.
Polyketone resin is a condensation polymer of cyclohexanone and formaldehyde, also known as ketone-aldehyde resin or aldehyde-ketone resin. Its molecular structure contains carbonyl and hydroxyl groups. Polyketone resin has good compatibility with raw materials in paint/ink formulations, is soluble in most organic solvents, and has good wetting and dispersing effects on pigments. It improves the adhesion, gloss, and hardness of paints, making it a high-performance, multifunctional additive for paints. It is also widely used as a grinding resin for general-purpose color pastes in paints/inks.
Key technical indicators

● A 50% resin solution, with 85% butyl acetate and 15% anhydrous ethanol as solvents.
● U-120H is a high hydroxyl value polyketone resin.
Solubility
It is soluble in almost all paint solvents, such as aromatic hydrocarbons, alcohols, ketones, and esters, but insoluble in water. Its solubility is relatively low in completely nonpolar solvents, such as mineral oil, aliphatic hydrocarbons, and alicyclic hydrocarbons. Caution should be exercised when using it.
Compatibility
Polyketone resins have good compatibility with most resins used in coatings/inks. These include the following resins.

application
1. Polyketone resins, due to their excellent compatibility and solvent solubility, as well as their good transparency, can be used in various types of coating/ink formulations;
2. It can effectively improve the gloss, adhesion, hardness, fullness, and drying properties of the coating film;
3. It has good wetting properties for pigments and fillers and can be used as a general-purpose pigment paste grinding resin. When applied in coatings, it can increase the solid content of the coatings.
Storage
The shelf life of polyketone resin is one year.
